TOWN OF BYRON DISASTER DECLARATION
WHEREAS on June 22, 2024, a disaster, namely flooding has struck the Town of Byron; and
WHEREAS, because of such emergency conditions, the Town Board is unable to meet with promptness; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary and expedient for the health, safety, welfare and good order of the Town of Byron to proclaim that emergency conditions exits; and
WHEREAS, the disaster has caused the Town of Byron to expand, commit and exhaust all of its available resources; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Byron is asking for county assistance and requests the county to advise the State of Wisconsin of our emergency conditions:
NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to sections 323.11 and 323.14 (4) of the Wisconsin Statutes, as Chief Elected Official of the Town of Byron in testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and have caused the great seal of the Town of Byron to be affixed.

NOTE: Under 323.14(4)(b), Stats., this proclamation shall be subject to ratification, alteration, modification or repeal by the governing body as soon as that body can meet, but the subsequent action taken by the governing body shall not affect the proper validity ofthis proclamation.
RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE PROCLAMATION
DECLARING A DISASTER

RESOLUTION NUMBER 24-01
WHEREAS, on June 22, 2024 the
Town Chairman of the
Town of Byron pursuant to his/her authority under Section 323.1 1 and 323.14(4) or
the Wisconsin Statutes. declared a disaster due to
Storm/Flooding_and
WHEREAS, the Town of Byron Board finds that
the disaster did occur as stated in the
Proclamation:
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED that the Town of Byron Board hereby
ratifies the Proclamation Declaring a Disaster dated
June 23, 2024 a copy of which
is attached.
