Waste Management acquired Advanced Disposal in late 2020 and there was a rough transition period for the town. Effective October 6, 2021 Waste Management will reassign our service to Harter’s Lakeside Disposal.

Harter’s is a family run company that takes great pride in servicing it’s customers. There will be a few changes in our service. Our pick up day will remain on Wednesday and please have your carts to the road by 6 am. Harter’s will deliver all residences two new 95 gallon carts on or around September 25th.  One is for garbage the other for recycling. You will find a welcome flyer, calendar and recycling information attached. Harter’s has an automated pick up system and you will no longer be able to use bags, garbage cans or recycling totes.  All trash and recycling MUST be placed in the new carts for pick up. Harter’s will begin picking up your new carts on October 6th.  They will empty their new carts and the carts you are currently using that first week.

You can keep the old carts and use them for anything but garbage and recycling or you can take them to the town hall to be recycled.
